I took my first quilting class 6 weeks ago. Today I learned to do FMQ for the first time and quilted my Turning Twenty and another lap quilt that I made.

Here is the Turning Twenty pic(s):

(sorry about that loose thread, gotta snip that!)

Wow, you just learned today and have already finished a quilt--and did a beautiful job like that? I am very jealous, but also inspired to learn FMQ myself. Thanks for sharing your great quilt.

Actually, that is the third quilt I've finished, and I have two I'll be done with next week at the lastest. Keep in mind, I'm not working right now, so I have a good bit of time until my employment status changes.

Ok, I want to know just how you did that beautiful quilt? I have doing this 2 years now and I still think I am a new quilter! Did you use a hoop? or a longarm?

Your stitching looks so perfect. What kind of machine are you using to quilt with and is it on a frame or just on a sewing machine table? Lovely quilting. I dream for mine to look so good!
