One of my co-workers is on a bowling league and won a door prize on Saturday. He said he took a lot of razzing from the other guys because he won the "Quilting Basket". I am the only quilter he knows.

Jackpot for me! Inside the cute basket I found 2 magazines, 2 patterns, assorted notions, 18 pieces of fabric that I thought were fat quarters. When I took it all apart, I discovered they are 1/2 yard or more each. I let his daughter have all the candy! I kept the good stuff!

Any ideas on how to "pay him back"? He said he doesn't want anything quilted

I'd buy him a gift certificate to the bowling alley.
Or a gift certificate to a nice restaurant...

Congratulations on your "perfect Score"

Speaking of "lottery", how about getting him some lottery tickets? It was really nice of him to give the stuff to you. :D

I like the lottery ticket idea, too. A nice gesture, but not too "familiar". I'd say about $20 and a good luck would be do it.

Does he barbecue? Get him a couple of steaks or a gift certificate to a butcher shop.

Maybe you could bake some cookies or treats for him to take bowling. Those other guys won't laugh at him any more.

Nice stuff - for you!

I think "thank you" would be adequate - - -

or do a "pay it forward"
