Yes. We lived in Omak for five years before moving to Central Washington nine years ago.
When our first grandson started talking, he named us Omakdaddy and Omakmama ... years of being online has brought it to a shortened version, but fifteen year old grandson still calls us Omakdaddy and Omakmama.
Do you know Omak, Washington?

I love B&W quilts. I don't think that I have seen Jacob's Ladder with the windmills. They really pop. You have done an excellent job. It is gorgeous. WooHoo and a Happy Dance.

Yes, my friend Panda Green married someone up there and still lives there. She went to school with me in Spokane and I used to go to Omak with her and the family when we were in about 7th grade. I think her married last name is Dunckel.

I vaguely remember the last name, but why or from what, I couldn't tell you.
Besides our five years in Omak, we lived in Mead for five years before that.
Could our paths have passed? LOL
I love finding out how many times our day to day life and living makes the world a smaller place.
Eastern Washington is a wonderful place, though Spokane was a bit more metropolitan than I care to tolerate. Many opportunities there, and I always said that Spokane was the smallest big town I had ever been into. There was a downtown, to be sure, but the city planners had broken the city into areas with lots of trees interspersed. One could never be sure that you were in or out of town. It was a nice town the first time I saw it in 1972, and just as nice when we moved there in 1989.

I like some parts of Spokane. My sister lived in a huge house in Mead for a while. I think she got a divorce and moved out. Way too big of a house for one person. She lives in Newport, Idaho part of the year with her new hubby and the rest of the year in a condo she had built in Mexico. She put a bldg up with 4 condo's and sold two of them before they were even finished. She saved one for her friend and one for her and hubby. Nice to have money.. My neice and nephew lived in Mead too with their mother. Don't know her new name but the kids last name is Morris. Ben and his girlfriend moved to Spokane and I just made a baby quilt for their 6 month old baby. They didn't even tell my brother they were gonna have a baby. She was 6 months old when he found out about it. He ran into them at a bus stop in Spokane and the baby was with them. Bad deal for grandpa. I imagine our paths did cross in one way or another.

LOL. This is my process, too. When you start FMQ, you might need a 3rd glass and a bit of chocolate, too! :)
