Default Japanese Ladies

Some months ago, I asked for help from the members to contact me if they had any small pieces of oriental fabric.
. The response was great and with the additional help of one of my friends in our local Bee, I had a very good selection of fabric to work with. The wall hanging of "Japanese Ladies" is 26" by 36" and is raw edge applique. Each lady is approximately 14" tall. Thank you to the quilters who were so nice to take the time to respond to my plea for fabric.
I will be entering this quilt plus a couple of others in our Quilt show in May. Will try to post those also. The first picture is called "Birds on a Wire". I will have to look for my other pictures and post them later. Lizzy.

Both are very nice, but the second one is just stunning. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I really enjoyed making that quilt. The book is "The Girls' Extraordinary Adventures by Susan G. Hill. It was published by Doheny Publications, Inc.,, Edmonds, Washington. Published in l996; ISBN number is 0-945169-19-1. I found it in a used book store in Texas. If you find any information about Susan Hill, please let me know. Hope you can find a copy. Have fun.

both lovely , lovely quilts. wouldn't it have been funny if Hitchcock had put quilts on the wires for the birds to look at in the movie The Birds? sorry, but the quilt made me think of that movie. too many birds are still scary to me.
