In the live chat earlier today we were discussing jar quilts so I thought i would post these. I appliqued the jars in this quilt instead of piecing. I am currenly working on a candy jar quilt and I did piece this one so I will post pictures when it's done.

How cute - I love that you used jars of bugs instead of fruits and veggies. The ones escaping are an extra nice touch.

How fun. It reminds me of catching lightening bugs when I was little. We don't have many of them near me now.

Thank you all for your nice comments! I am a very new quilter and looking back at this one I can definitely say it taught me a lot, especially in the what-not-to-do department! But my granddaughter loves it, so it is all good! Happy Good Friday, everyone!

Love it - reminds me of days with mother in the garden catching critters and enjoying spring. Your shelf and jar design is just cute! esp. with the critters also "outside the box"

I think it is adorable and I also love the frogs and escaping bugs. I'll keep a pic. of this one too in my file folder as a bug quilt is one of the ones I want to do.
