LOVE this quilt and I have the same quilters book.... Another one I'd love to make one of these days. Every quilter- sewer I know has many projects we want to make!!!

What a fun quilt and such beautiful bright colors, the black back ground really makes the kitties pop..love there tails going twisted...

Your top turned out great. I love black background quilts so much so that I will put up with the eye strain to do them because they just look so good, especially with bright colors. I find quilting on black with black thread is more difficult than piecing black to black.

Some black print fabrics (blacks with dark grays mixed in but still read black) are easier to work with than solid black.
