    Jelly Jar pin Cushions

I spent all day Sunday making 12 of these only to get them all done and find out I put too much glue on the underside of the tops and about half won't close LOL Story of my life , but it was a nice change of pace

I like 'em. Super cute. These are on my list now to do for family and friends. I am thinking a mini sewing kit or a jar of emergency chocolate!

Thank You - they are fairly simple , my niece just saw them and wants one to put her tape measure and other small things in it- I am thinking about putting my spare feet in it- since I don't have a case for them

I made one of these jar pin cushions too and I had the same problem with the glue and the lid seemed to be so thick that the lid won't screw on, but it's really cute and I use it for spools of thread anyway. It's cute in my sewing room!

I made some of these for my quilting friends. I put the mini sewing kits inside.........Everyone was excited over them.
Purchased the mini kits from the $ Tree.

Those are really cute. If I can find the jars, I'm going to copy you and make a few as gifts for my friends. I'm really sorry you had the problem with the glue. I appreciate your pointing it out so the rest of us can try to avoid doing the same thing.
Fabric is like money, no matter how much you have it's never enough.

Here is the tute I used as a guideline- I did find I had to make the top fabric bigger then she stated- she calls for it about 1 inch bigger than the ring I went about 2 inches- I guess it depends on how much fiberfill you use

Have you tried peeling off the glue? It may come off in chunks cold, or you can try reheating it with your blow dryer. I've used a little craft iron (easier to clean). Get as much off as possible then try jamming the lids on and let them sit for several days. Good luck.

These are really cute. You put more stuffing in than I did (yours look better though). I made sewing repair kits for each of mine and will give them to the younger women in the family so they can sew on buttons, etc. (I included some basic buttons.) But I like the emergency chocolate idea!

Very nice! A quilter friend gave me one of these several years ago. To fill the jar, she took her scrap fabrics and cut them into tiny bits and pieces with her rotary cutter. She just kept adding little scraps and chopping them up until she had enough to fill the jar. Then she added a paper label on the side of the jar that said "Quilter's Jelly". It was so cute and colorful, and I love it.
