That came out great. It's hard to figure out another person's colors and style and go with it, but it shows that you really made the gift for her.

Diana, I am just soooo glad it came out so
well and that Jessie liked it. I live in fear of spending
so much time on projects for family that they only
"kind of" like. Like someone else said, it all shows
in her smile!

Personally, I think it is just beautiful and may duplicate
the same block for my DD. I've already bought the fabric
but have been told it needs to "look" contemporary.

Thank you, all of you, for your very wonderful thoughts!!!! I really appreciate it!! :D

Joan, I'd make the blocks a bit bigger if I were to do it again. Mine were 6 3/4", and it seemed to take forever to make enough of them. But they weren't fun for me to make, as I really prefer the more traditional blocks.

But yeah, her face, and that she really loved it, made it all very much worthwhile!!! :D

It really turned out great! Isn't it nice when the person you give a quilt you've worked so hard on loves it!!!!!!! And it's great that your DDIL told her how much went into it!
