This is the quilt I made for my granddaughter and her new husband. I finished it late because I thought it was too small for a lap quilt for two people. It definitely isn't now. As usual, the quilt is much brighter that the picture. This was made last year when I was new to quilting. I could have done better on the points. It was pieced and FMQed on my vintage Singer 301. Lots of firsts - HSTs, 4 patches, piano key border, mitered corners, etc.

Name: Jewel Box or Ohio Buckeye
Size: 81x81
Pattern: Free from Rose Ludlow's quilting newsletter with help from E Burns' videos
Fabric: Black on black from JoAnn's
Jewels: Moda Marble Swirls
Back: Modern circles on black, but the pic won't load
Thread: Bright multicolored cotton made some interesting effects
Quilting: My first all over meander - I usually work block by block. There is an interlocking pattern in the border.
