    Just Couldn't Cut This Fabric.

    Name: image.jpg

Size: 254.8 KB. My ex DIL is having a baby and I wanted to make her a baby quilt. We have a wonderful relationship due to her being Camden's mommy. I had a pattern in mind but then found I just couldn't cut the fabric. It was just too cute!!! So decided to square it up and treated it like a panel. I wanted pink and black zebra stripe but couldn't find a pink that it played nice with so used black and white zebra print. I hope she'll be happy with it. Stitching down the backside of the binding now so should have it ready to send tomorrow.

great idea...not to cut it. sometimes we just can't
put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

Sometimes a whole cloth quilt is the best with some fabrics. Great idea, still made by you and will be well loved.

I see nothing wrong with whole cloths and panels. Yours is great! I have always tried to keep a good relationship with my ex DIL because of the girls. Besides the problems were between the couple not me and the kids. Love your quilt and so will she.

That is a cute fabric. I come across fabrics that I don't want to cut so I make the center square in Warm Wishes and cut the blocks 8.5" instead. BQ is also a good pattern that uses a larger square blocks. I am certain the child is going to enjoy growing up with this quilt.

Very cute and can see why you couldn't cut it. I have done that before and just cut into very large pieces with a sashing. Double bed size though.

Adorable quilt. I had some oriental fabric that I couldn't bear to cut once upon a time. Made a beautiful (to me) whole cloth quilt.

You're right, sometimes some fabrics are too pretty to cut. Great baby quilt.
