I just put the last border on a scrappy quilt that I made for my friend. She bought the fabric and selected the pattern. We have both been anxious to see what it would end up looking like, as neither of us is good at visualizing what a finished product might look like.

I am very pleased with it, even though scrappy quilts are not my preferred quilts. I lean toward two or three colors or shades of two or three colors.

Still, I think it looks good. If you have been one who encouraged me that it would turn out okay, thank you so much. I depend on you all to help me "see" what I can't.

I have just emailed my friend a picture. (She is in OK and I am in TX.) I hope she likes what she sees. The last picture I sent her didn't have the borders on.

I like that. It's kind of an "organized" scrppy look!

I really like the white framing for the colored units. Sets them off nicely.

Nice choice of fabrics for the borders, too.

Well, I got an email from my friend and she likes the final outcome. (Thank goodness...) On to sandwich it next. I really don't like the backing she selected, but it is her quilt. :)

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I am happy with it, and so is my friend. I just got an email from her...another 100+ day in central OK, she said, and the only thing cool was the picture of her quilt.

Nice to hear, especially since our local weatherman is counting the days over 100 we have had so far...43. Need lots of cool quilts!!
