1st ebay fabric purchase - I fell in love with these Martha Negley florals!
1st disappearing 9-patch - easy and fun!
1st machine quilted project larger than a wall hanging.
1st time to spray baste - works great!
1st time to use painter's tape for quilting guidelines - I will have to find a better quality tape to use next time because it kept getting stuck to other tape lines and was quite a mess!
What do you think of the results?

Beautiful! How brave of you to try all that new stuff on one project! You must have been feeling adventurous--but it was worth your effort!

Love the colors and the fabrics. Reminds me of Kaffe Fasset's colors, which I love.
Re the tape - I'm not sure what you mean by 'kept getting stuck to the other tape lines.' A.Did you tape ALL the lines at once? B.Or did it get stuck to the already-sewn lines?

Either can be remedied. A.Tape one direction at a time. B. Don't press the tape down hard on previously sewn lines.

If the tape is REALLY sticky, it helps to press it onto another piece of fabric first (maybe the back of something) to get rid of some of the stickiness) and THEN put it on your quilt to make your lines.

Brilliant - well done on so many firsts. I try to use at least one first in most of my quilts too.
