    Love that. I Just did a zig zag-- different pattern-- but I had lots of fun with it and I think they are addictive. Yours is terrific and what a beautiful way to use up scraps!

    its called Streak of lightning and was a free pattern I got in the mail. There were about 4 different patterns you could make out of hsq's. Most of the darks are plaids but not all.

    Thanks for the close-up. Even more beautiful! It would be great for some of the males in my life. May have to try that for next Christmas or birthdays.

    I LOVE it, what size are the 1/2 squares. I want to do something for my sons and it cant be 'frilly' this would be perfect ...

    the hsq's are 5 1/2 inches each
