I got this today and from what I can find it was made in 1922. The pics were taken with my cell phone so they aren't the best. What do ya'll think?

Lovely! Looks like it might be the kind that has a knee bar that plugs into the front of the base. If so, the knee bar should be inside the cover.

Absolutely beautiful. Since I got my first vintage Singer I have barely used my new Janome, not the top of the line by all means. I just love the old Singer stitches and the way the hum along.

My husband doesn't seem to understand. He keeps on asking why I sew so much on that one than the new one. How can you explain? There is just no comparison to the stitching as far as I'm concerned. But tell that to a guy who used to staple his hems!!!

I thought I found myself one similar to yours last week at an auction. Then I lifted the beautiful rounded wooden top......and the case was empty! I bought the empty case anyway!

I am very envious of your find.

I love the wood in the case - is that tiger oak? Very pretty - enjoy sewing with her.

I think she is truly lovely. They are works of art to be used and saved.
