I have used very traditional British (North Country) quilting patterns here like the rose, the cowslip and the scissors. I found small drawings of it in my books, but I have to enlarge and re-draw them for the right size. The spirals or snails are quilted freehand without stencils. The arrangement of patterns is self-made with a lot of inspiration of traditional wholecloth quilts - therefore the complete pattern or preprinted tops are not available as far as I know.
I use Quilter's Dream Cotton request for this quilt. It's very easy to needle and to quilt and I love it's drape - very classical.

That is gorgeous! What a lot of work you've done already. It will be so beautiful when you are finished. Do you use a lap hoop? I love the looks of handquilting so much, and I have been trying to learn to do it. Not so easy!!!
