This is my first quilt, and I designed it using scrappy blocks. (Note to Self: Don't design a first quilt. Follow someone else's instructions.) This is quilted with the Cotton Theory method. I made every mistake possible, but I did enjoy the entire process.

This is a gift for a relative in his school colors (Florida Gators). It is approximately 52" x 52", big enough to make a nice ground cover for those tailgate parties at The Swamp.

Back of the quilt. I pieced it with scraps, too.

MomtoBostons, You did great for your first quilt. Don't tell anyone & they won't know either. I like the orange stitching. Did it save time? Thanks for showing us & hope your relative loves his quilt.

I worked on Univ of Ala items for wedding gift today & Fla & Ala are rivals, but I like all the quilts no matter which school they go to. What will it matter 100 yrs from now where any of us attended. The important thing is that we went to college if we had the chance. Go players!
