Kaffe Fassett Quilt

Kaffe Fassett Quilt
This is a Missouri Star quilt pattern called Connecting Stars. It called for using a charm pack, way too small for me, not a fan of tiny pieces, so I enlarged the pattern to use some of my Kaffe Fassett FQ stash. It was so much fun to make and goes together quickly. I will make this pattern again, but will use my Deb Tucker ruler for the Half Rec units, I lost points here and there but still very happy with the finish.
I decided to use Minky for the backing (for the first time) and it was easy to work with and I am very pleased with the results! I will use it again for special quilts. Quilted a Monstera leaf edge to edge on my Innova using So Fine thread top and bobbin. Thanks for looking!

Like the variation to a Wonky Star pattern. Jenny did it again with another interesting pattern, Connecting Stars is the perfect name. Beautiful work with lovely fabric, Tallchick. Missing Points? They are there, just hiding.

Hi Tallchick. Thanks for posting your beautiful quilt and giving the pattern name. It looks like another great scrap buster. I looked at the MSQ youtube for the runner using the same pattern and agree--that's a whole pile of much too little pieces! If I may ask, how much did you upsize? What was the finished size of your block?

I used 3.5 inches for the HST and squares and 3.5 x 6.5 for the HRT, and the block finishes at 9.5. I chose a 8x10 layout and it finished at a generous twin. I used all FQ’s as I could not get it to work well with a layer cake when I was graphing it out.
