People have asked me this several times...I am a scrapbooker..I used to play with my camera a lot ..I don't know technical terms of anything.....
But what I try to do is use natural light..no flash...and I think you need a deflector..in my case I try to shoot by a window..so there is a wall on one side that absorbs the light...or at least controls where the light shines. It is hard for me to get good pictures of the quilting outside..unless the sun is just perfect..which never happens to be on my time line.Also the Hobbs batting photograph's very well because of the slight loft it has. Sometimes though the true colors of the fabric don't show up as well ....So I guess you have to decide which is more important.

I thought I had seen the most beaty, then I see the next quilt. I would love to learn to do that in my home. I already have a sewing room. I would have to build a quilting room. Love all that you do.
