This is the quilt I had so many issues with in the beginning, as it's all offset seams, which I had never done before.... but have mastered now! :)

It's done now, and she totally LOVED it!! Even though it's a tad late, her birthday was Dec. 3rd!

It's in the Fall/Winter '09 Quilt Sampler magazine, if anyone else would like to give it a try it! ;)
    :) :)

BRAVO! You really did finish it for the weekend, MollieSue, and got the photos posted too! I'm so thrilled for you and Katie...that quilt is really special. It was so worth what it put you through...remember, YOU mastered it! I love it....it's on my list...I think that pattern would be great for those males we want to make quilts for...however, I love the girlie pink in this one! Thanks so much for sharing the making of this one with us. Well done!

Thanks so much everyone!! :) :)

Right as I was starting it was also when DH had his colon surgery, so I had no 'focus'! Once I got the hang of it, I really started to like working on it! :) And Katie is sooo nice, I really couldn't ask for a better, more loving DDIL, that I really wanted it to turn out nice for her!

And I've been trying to think of fabrics, for me to have one! lol!!
I tried matching these fabrics as close as I could (at JoAnn's) as to what they used in the magazine, as Katie really liked that one.

I think it would make a great guy quilt too!!
    :) :)

That is outstanding Diana! Wow....you are such a beautiful quilter. What an eye for color and design. I'm glad she loves it. It comes from a special lady!

BTW, how's DH doing these days? I imagine well - last I recall reading he was doing really well...cold sensitive, but well.

That is so pretty. Good job!! Getting all those seams to match up and not stretch is lots of work and patience. :D

    Thanks everyone!! :) :)

I had to do a LOT of seam ripping and pinning to get all those seams to match! lol!!! I guess it's odd, that I don't ever have problems with fabric stretching as I never pay any attention to bias, etc. I also always iron, instead of press, so maybe it all just balances itself out?
