This is for a very dear Japanese friend of mine. The individual blocks are 8 inch, and paper pieced. I did this as a quilt as you go. I've been working on it since March of this year. I didn't think I'd ever finish it.

    I can't believe I'm done

Did I count 120 blocks in that quilt! That's quite a project. It's gorgeous. You should be proud of yourself. Working on it since March? It would have taken me MUCH longer. :)

This is just spectacular! I love it, and your friend will too. I find the Oriental patterned fabric to be irresistible, and I have quite a stash of them. This is giving me ideas!

That is one big, beautiful quilt, pocoellie!
I am so impressed with it. Has she seen any of it? Does she know?
I don't like for ppl to see what I'm working on, but I can't always keep it a secret that I am doing something.
It's a bad habit for me. It puts me under pressure
You, my dear, persevered and are grandly rewarded for it.
So, your friend will be also.:-D
I bet her smile will be almost as big!

quiltncrazy-she knows nothing about this. My gd and I will be leaving Saturday to hand deliver it(500 miles) and to see old friends and do some shopping for things we can't get here. I'm anxious to see her face.
