Hello All,
Just finished this Kindle cover/keeper last week for a co-worker. She really loves it! Thanks to all who posted on this in the past, I was able to search the old threads and find a great pattern!
Enjoy

Very nice. People with Kindle go crazy for these covers. I made 3 of them as gifts. Now I have orders for 5 more.
Hardest part is getting the price right. It all depends on how much work goes into making them.

I've made several of these for myself and for friends. You have to adjust the size a little for the newer Kindles--they're just a little smaller. Everyone I've given them to loves theirs, including me. The best part is that I made it in bright colors, so it's easy to find! Love yours with the doggie fabric. I think it's a much simpler project with just a couple of fabrics instead of strips of different fabrics. There are so many ways you could customize this project--I don't think any two of the ones I've made are the same!

I would agree that it depends on what you do for cover fabric on what to charge. This one took more time because I used a bunch of the different stitches that my machine would do. I am sure a single piece of fabric would go much faster. I was able to do the front from scraps, so in that case the cost was pretty minimal. I plan on trying one with elastic on it in the future, so you can keep the kindle in it while reading it. I will post pics as soon as it is done.
