It is beautiful. I've not seen one in full color like this. I love it. I'm sure he does.

there's a very long story behind why it took so long.
i didn't work on it every day. other things interrupted often and for months at a time.

    offsetting the shirts wasn't difficult.
i just treated them like big centers of a wacky log cabin or crazy quilt square.
i tilted them and then added to each of the four sides until they were big enough to trim back to the final size.

i used one of the many quilt as you go methods.
it was huge and heavy, but with some help from a friend i managed to wrassle it through to add straight-line quilting to the sashing.

    thanks for all the compliments.

What a striking quilt!! Hard to imagine those pretty colors on t-shirts. You did a wonderful job and thanks for sharing. Love how you made the quilt way more interesting than most t-shirt quilts we see (like the kind I'd probably make....)

    thanks for the compliments.

part of me wants to never do another t-shirt quilt as long as i live.
the other part learned enough that i think doing another one might not drive me quite so crazy.
unless i ever again agree to do one king-sized. in that case you should send the guys with the nets straight to my sewing room. LOL
