Kingsize Bargello is DONE!!! Happy Dance

On a personal note, I don't like using batik on the back of a batik quilt top. The dense weight of the fabric makes it hard to work with. If you do use it, make sure to use jean needle and be prepared to change it often.
I opt for a tonal cotton for mine now.

I have made a Bargello quilt but yours is just gorgeous. I used a flannel back on mine and loved it. It is a personal choice. Go with a fabric you fall in love with and it will be great.

Your quilt is absolutely gorgeous, you could use some gorgeous batik, or a nice large floral that has the colors from the front on it. Maybe that doesn't help, but I will repeat myself - it's gorgeous. Nice job.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I found out that making a bargello isn't nearly as hard as it looks. I'll let my non quilting friends and family think it is . Once I finally got my colors, it was easy. The directions were very straight forward and easy to understand. I cut my initial 2 1/2" strips with my GO and that saved a lot of time. Don't be like me and let the thought of making a bargello intimidate you. I'll be definitely be making another one after I get a few other projects (UFOs) done.
