    OBW Kingsize FMQ - DONE

I'm finally finished a OBW I started last year! This quilt is for DH and me. It has been a work-in-progress and sat all summer because it was just to warm to think about doing the quilting until recently.
I used Quilter's Dream-Dream Puff batting in it. It's a super thick yet lightweight batting and it stitched wonderfully. It is FMQ'd on my HQ Sixteen sit-down. I did a piped binding on it, machine stitched front and back so it would be super-durable and stand up to years of washings. It's already been through the wash once and is nice and soft and puffy!

I'm so happy to have this one done, and I get to take it to guild show & tell tonight. Then it goes on our bed!

The first is a pic of the top before sandwiching...

Your quilting is spectacular. I am president of your fan club. The piping is awesome. The thing I noticed immediately was the red in the diamonds. What a great detail. I am glad you are doing one for you and your husband.

It turned out beautiful. I love OBW's and have made 5. Each is a surprise in the end. I am intact making one now for a friend's 75 birthday. I love putting the blocks together, then I have my daughter help me put the blocks on the wall in a lovely way. I visualize what the border colors should be and can't wait to purchase that fabric too. The most difficult for me is the quilting and I admire how lovely yours turned out. Wish me luck on mine too. Thanks for sharing and sleep warm.

I'm glad you like them. Both the quilting motifs and the diamonds were my own design ideas.
