    Thanks, everyone for your kind comments. It's hard to see the embroidered blocks in the picture but they were vintage ones that I got at an auction last year. I had thought I'd make a baby quilt with them but some of the blocks were too negative for a baby. ..... like 'I'm a dunce at math', etc. But my SIL does struggle with math so it was perfect for her. And, she loves quilts with black in them and 30's repro fabrics so she does love it.

    Great quilt!

    I have a set of embroidered dogs I did for my best friend several years ago that I never did anything with because I couldn't decide how to incorporate them into a quilt. Yours has really inspired me! She may finally get her quilt this year!
