Labyrinth quilt for my mom, queen size

I finished my first queen size Labyrinth quilt! woohoo. It was easier then I anticipated. It looked to intimidating with the instructions. I just had to be sure I took my time with it. Phew. My mom knows which pattern I am using but she has not seen the fabric yet. This one is definitely going to be hard to give away. I am loving it! The second picture is of it on one of our beds just to see what it would look like lol...I hope my mom likes it. She has been wanting a quilt for her bed. But she wants it to touch the floor on all sides. But this one is not doing it unfortunately. My 6 year old son has already said he wants one for his bed lol. As easy as this was, I might just make him one.

Ok, I need ideas on how to quilt this. Could anyone help me with any ideas? What about backing, should I do a blue like the front or go with the cream that is on the front????

    Thanks for your help.

What a spectacular quilt! I love the design and the colors! If it were mine, I'd want feathers quilted on it. Or a combination of feathers in the star parts and an allover design in the background.

Beautiful quitl!!! I think I would use a blue from the front of the quilt. That would make it look more luxurious.

That's a pattern that I've been thinking about, but I'm alittle afraid of it. Your quilt is just beautiful. I would do blue for the backing.

Beautiful work, I would stitch in the ditch around the Labyrinth in the center. Then do a tight fill stitch in the cream, this will make the Labyrinth pop out. I would also do a different fill stitch on each of the borders to give them more definition. You can also add another border, maybe cream to make it bigger to please your Mom. Just my thoughts.......

Beautiful colors!! When I made my queen size I quilted it in channels following the straight lines of the quilt. I can't do feathers that look decent so that was out! Also Mine was for a guy so I wanted to keep it simple .
