I am so backwards since the puter crashed ... I mean! Some of these notifications are from OCTOBER! I had more than a hundred pages to read on Miss Lace Lady to catch up - - fortunately <g> I just looked at pictures and found her tute on convergence quilts ... that was an eye opener!
The Whidby Island thing only resonated with me because it is on the other side of my state ... (must be a native thing or something <g>) LOL <wave>
I'm glad you posted that Christmas picture of Miss Niece also ... good memories <g>

That was my first pieced border as well, it was a learning experience if nothing else, and it will be well loved, I had made her a lap a few years ago, not that long after I first started and I hear she still drags it around with her,

I have to change computers to get the picture that we are working for.

Cutebuns - I have a question for you. Is this landscape challenge to have an end result looking similar to the flowers on the mountains only or any landscape design?

The origional challenge is to a picture Ninnie posted titled "When God dropped his paintbrush" ( or something close to that). We would love to see any landscape that you have done.

If you scroll up on the page with your original post, you will find the quilt with its recipient, and then I believe I found the completed quilt on page seven, if that helps. Be sure to look for hexagon tutorials on the quilting board, using the search, if nothing else ... Miss Cutie has done a grand tutorial in three or four threads for those of us who wish to follow her lead <wave>

Oh, but you can show it to Maxine. Send her a picture of your quilt. Her e mail addres is in the back of the book. I sent her a question about inserting a whole hexagon and how to sewin when sewing the strips together. She answered me in less than a week!
