they are really cool. don't see anything you could have done better. I would not iron them as you might melt the batting.

Isn't it funny when you look at a quilt from the other side of the world and you see your fabric lol.

The kids will probably get lots of toys, most of them broken within the first month, but your quilts will be with them for a long time and will be cherished.
