Default Latest Selvedge Quilt

Gosh, taking a couple of months away from social media and you can get Sew much sewing done LOL. Here is my latest selvedge quilt, all made from selvedges. The smaller quilt and words used plain selvedges. The larger background quilt, about 40inches squares, used up lots of plain selvedges from my stash. Then I added a couple of figures to hold up the smaller quilt, one made from word selvedges, the other from plain selvedges. I love how this quilt has come together. The binding is even made by sewing smaller selvedge strips together, folded in half to make a binding and sewn to the quilt. No selvedge goes to waste in this sewing room ! Barely made a dent in my selvedge stash though.

I love doing selvage projects too. My problem is, I don't know what to do with them when I'm finished. I give away nearly everything I make, and not everyone else appreciates selvages.

Great colors and design in your selvage quilt. I think your quilt should be in a show it is so unique. I crown you Queen of the Selvage Quilts. I enjoyed seeing your work of art. Thank you for sharing it.

I love your quilt and others you have posted using salvages. You have inspired me to start saving my salvages and in most cases cut at least 11/2". Do you suggest more cut with the salvages? These quilts are "good to the last drop" of fabric! Thanks for sharing.

I love that; So creative and a great use of the selvedges. I have tons of them too. Never seem to get any less; sort of like scraps. The just keep multiplying.
