I'm playing with my layout for my bow tie quilt. It's made mostly from Moda Caroler charm squares with a few things thrown in to get the right number of bow ties. In the end it will have another border made from the rest of the Caroler scraps. I'm not sure if I like the red border yet. It may change.

I love your bow tie and the red border How would a narrow border look in a color?, before the red border?

Thanks for all the nice comments.

Emmy -- I had thought about doing a solid red border instead of the pattern but my red fabric just looked to Christmas. I'm going to end it with a scrappy border from the charm squares .

I love your bow tie. Aren't they fun. I have a new pattern for bow tie that is the easist I've ever used. I made it for my GD in Minkee and put the left over Minkee on the back. I have another bow tie that I made with silk neckties and off white silk in the off blocks. I can't decide how to quilt it. How are you going to quilt yours?
