I can tell you the sweet smell of lilacs in bloom is so pretty. My grandmother had lilac bushes planted around her patio and it was my favorite place to sit while in bloom..just read a book in a patio chair..what lovely memories.

When I received this quilt I immediately thought of that and it gave me sweet memories.

This is a lovely quilt. I quilted charisma curls in all the purple areas and quilted a wreath in the white centers...it just seems so sweet and pretty.

I used Hobbs polydown batting. I quilted this freehand on my INNOVA. I did use a chalk pencil to make a circle in the center of each block for a point of reference. It washed out without any problems.

    Thanks for looking.

When you talked about the memory of lilacs the house my family owned had thes great big one in the back yard and produced so many blooms that all the flowers for the church was lilacs I wish I could have one but I fall just below where you can grow them.
