It is on my to-do list. LOL Your blocks are beautiful. Good for you to start this masterpiece quilt. I'll be cheering for you to help you along.

Butterfly, please explain the process of adding the bead and then covering w/ribbon. I haven't a clue. Think could attach a bead okay, but the ribbon ? . . . . Thanks.

Okay Suz I will explain but will go to the appropriate page for Tutes to show you and give you the link to it on here.

Its very simple and will negate the need to make all those round seeds by fabric which I think could be a pain as there are 542 of them....LOL ask me how I know, well I needed sufficient beads to complete the job.

Give me a bit of time today and I will show you.

2.5 years? Seriously? I'm afraid that my sewing machines would be technologically obsolete by the time the project was finished. But, my hat's off to you for your commitment to the project...it will indeed be an heirloom quilt. Will you quilt it yourself? What is the plan for getting around the embellished elements (berries, etc.)?

Yes seriously it does take 2.5 years. there are 40 8" blocks and 4 quarter blocks and 4 half blocks. doing 1 per week well that works out to the above. I will quilt it as QAYG and tackle the problems as I go.
