What a very cute and original quilt, and a generous way for you to send her well wishes as she proceeds on her life journey.

I love your gift quilt robin! I am sure there will be tears when you present it to her. This is a fun design and I appreciate your sharing the tutorial with us.

Very cute and whimsical and sure to be enjoyed by the doctor. So often we fail to see professionals in any light than just those whose services we need. However, you have reached out in a personal way and I know your quilt will always bring her a smile. She will know you cared about her in a special way.

What a beauty! I like your version with the larger background fabric pieces, thanks also for providing the link. Definitely one I would like to do sometime.

It is so difficult when a doctor of many years, retires or leaves the area. It took me ages to find a doctor that was "compatible", after many years you do appreciate them as a friend as well as service provider. I am sure your doctor/friend will treasure this quilt always.

Thank you very much for the compliments.

Good news is, I will be seeing the Doctor who shares her office space. So I will still be in familiar surroundings.
The lab is downstairs so I don't have to travel across town to go to the main lab for bloodwork.
Besides it is a really neat building, so open and airy. I really didn't relish the prospect of going somewhere else for care.
