That is AWESOME!!!

There's an envelope INSIDE the project? That helps it to be stiff? Does it dull a needle to go through the thicker paper? This is a new idea for me--although I am aware there are quilted postcards...

I did some research about making these--there are many variations on directions, but I found a wonderful video that explains things. I read an article in a magazine recently about a woman who felt uncreative so she assigned herself to 30 min a day to make one tiny project like this. Cool.

How sweet, thanks for the idea. I have 2 grandsons in Oregon whose family is going through terrible, disturbing times. The 8 year old loves to get mail so I try to send him something every few days even if it is only news articles he would like or pictures. This idea would be great for him and the 3 1/2 year old, maybe make a little sign with their names that they could hang on their doors! Of course I would include a little money, what kid doesn't like to have slurpee money!

What a cute and clever idea. I might do something like that for my DGD, who says her "Grandma MiMi always brings her something." Now it wouldn't do to disappoint her would it?
