My DD used it to hem a chiffon dress for our youngest DD's BFF and fell in love with it, so he figures it will be getting a lot of use. Anyhow, he said he would be on his "mission" while I was in my seminar. Well, he did get bobbins and ordered the part, but look what else he brought home for me!!!

At a store called the Re-uz It store, he found a shoebox full of hundreds of 4 inch squares, a bag of hundreds of 3.5 inch squares and another of at least an equal amount of 2.5 inch squares. At the Salvation Army Thrift store he found a 3 yard piece of the prettiest rose colored fabric. Then at Tuesday Morning's he found packs of new fat quarters 12 for $7.99 (2 of each kind/color) and got me 2 of solids and 1 of prints, a pack of template plastic for 99 cents, a pack of assorted quilting marking chalk pencils/pens - 1 pen was air fade and other water disappearing (all for $4.99), and a brand new quilt book called "Lot's of Scraps - It's Time to Quilt" which is perfect since I now have oodles or fabric squares,(also $4.99) . I am soooooo excited! I have been wanting to make a scrap quilt, so when I finish with the Lovers Knot I am making for my DD's BFF's wedding, I am going to start working on that...may find it hard to not over plan it, but am hoping to use one of Bonnie Hunters from Quiltville website. Isn't my DH an enabler extraordinaire AND keeper?

Thanks for looking, just had to share my excitement. Oh, anyone have any recommendations on how to sort the squares? Light/dark, colors????
Wow, he did good! Can he shop for me?

Ooooh You Lucky Duck! What a terrific bargain shopper your husband is! And even nicer that his area of expertise compliments your area of interest so nicely.

If the squares are going into the 'scrappy' quilt I would just dump into a brown bag that way the decision on where each piece goes in the quilt is decided for you.... That is the only way I can do scrappy!
