Well, I feel your pain about the Viking. I bought a Bernina 830 five yrs ago as an early retirement gift and it brought me nothing but pain and a lot of bad words too. I also put it away for awhile but eventually was determined to use it. I went prepared with quilt sandwiches, embroidery hoops, etc to my dealer and spent about 4 hrs there showing them exactly what was happening (and what they weren't fixing) and they finally got it working perfectly. I am glad you love your new Pfaff. Enjoy!

Ha ha! I bought two Pfaffs on ebay. The 1470 and the 1471! I love love love those machines. The 1471 I bought for my daughter. I have a Bernina and I use my 1470 to piece with. I wish I had another as a backup.
