Thanks everybody..she is pretty...she is smaller than a "normal" machine, of course, that makes her even cuter... her name is TES...I will be paying for her from the money I earn as an independant contractor for a company called TES I do movie trailer checks and ads and etc for them). Last evening, I oiled her, and then sewed a whole quilt top on her (well, a LINUS Project quilt..so not huge). I found that the regular Schmidt needles fit just fine, and a foot off another old Singer (1964) fit just fine, too. Getting the bobbins wound is the hard part about it...have to go slow and really watch that.It is SO quiet when sewing..amazing. I am having much fun with her!
