Awe, thank you so much Henry, and thank you Cathie, yes the plot does thicken, here is the beginnings of a poem that will go with it, the first verse, i haven't thought of the other verses yet:

I am a rose that has no stem
    But i am not alone
Many leaves surround, and care for me
And protect me from life's storms

Now, who is the rose? :)

Anyways, now my machine is messing up again, so i hope i can get through this, will tell more later :) :) :)

Oh dear, i can really use an opinion now. This will be a wallhanging, the corner squares will be white, and the rest of the centre will be white. I've seen log cabins done to look like stars, and this is my problem. I was hoping to do a star, but, with the roses in the cabins, do the roses detract from the star pattern so that the star is not noticeable, or is the star noticeable enough, and with a star, the roses get turned inward, and im hesitating if they dont look good that way, in the second photo i can make it like a diamond, not quite what i wanted, but a diamond is nice too, but the diamond looks better maybe, goes with centre diamond, and roses are turned outward, and if i did the diamond shape, maybe i would need to make the centre background floral? What does the star look like, and which one is better?
