Default Your mom did Good!

If I had seen those quilts without the story, I would have thought they were the work of a young woman with a great outlook on life and an appreciation for beautiful things. I still think all those things of your mom. I quilt with a woman in her 80s and one who just turned 94. Oh yes, I"m the youngster at 72.

God bless you and your mom.

For those of you following this thread and would like the names of the quilt patterns, I have requested them from mom. So hang on to the thread and I'll get back with them.

And, BTW, I experienced how important it is cheer a person on. When you think of quilting, and at 86, it is a very solitary hobby. Of course when family stops by or mom gives a quilt to someone, they say wow and thanks. But today, I read all 144 responses and where you are from and she was overwhelmed with your kind words. She floated upstairs and had a little cry.

Her picture was taken with her current quilt and it is just as amazing as the ones in this thread - maybe more. Its on the way to the LAQ and when it comes back I'll post it.

Thank you again for your encouraging comments to my mom.

She is awesome. I hope that when I am her age, I can still quilt.

My wish for her is: Another 20 years, great eyesight, and no arthritis in her hands! What beautiful work! None of mine look that good. And may she continue to be able to "float" up those stairs!
