Omgoodness!! The monster is rolling in paper!!! You go girl!! Isnt' this fun and isn't it soooo easy!:)))Your blocks look great!! As far as too much gathered in a point like a star...as suggested above , some will make a small snippet in the side of the fabric of each piece to lay them down and press like a flat flower petal or windmill. I just steam my suckers down...and, sometimes if working on a really small size it is...as is:))I just machine quilt around it sometimes. Looks good...now round up all the others that were too scared or intimidated to do this!! It is fun!! And, spead the paper piecing germ!!:))Skeat
PS...Some will iron the freezer paper (shiny side down) on to muslin...cut to exact comp. paper size, then run it thru the printer when printing blocks to P.P. Then they just sew fabric directly on the muslin and let it stay there forever instead of ripping paper. I haven't tried that yet and know they do sell patterns by the bolt like that. Not sure it wouldn't be too thick for later...not sure

Beautiful star, and I like the others too. Can't wait to see them finished in a quilt.

good job! I don't think I can get the concept yet to try this. It probably sounds more complicated than it is but I am afraid to attempt it.

No, it's not complicated at all.
You just have to sit down and try it.
Get some scraps, don't worry about the colors, any old color will do and GO FOR IT!
I'm telling you, it's E A S Y ! !
If I can do it, ANYONE can!
