lol... I should have known that creative people would have different opinions.

I think I like the left one. It seems more restful to my eye, the pattern being definate instead of broken up.

But then, I like traditional patterns best too.

First one, too. You also might want to see what it would look like if you had all the green on one side and all the blue on the other with the white down the middle.

They're both nice. With #2, you would quilt the entire 4-square sashing as a single entity and with a single motif. With #1, you could separate the quilting of the 4-sqares into 3 individual motif rows or as a single motif with a heavier quilt concentration on the white squares to show it off.

Hmmm... I'll check out green/blue on the same sides.

The white down the middle and doing a center quilt motif down the middle of the white squares sounds interesting.

Oh, I like that idea! But keep in mind I'm a super boring traditionalist. I not only don't think outside the box; I don't even get too close to the edges of the box.
