My great grandmother taught me to weave those rugs.. her loom was much the same but as I remember her "pegs" were "headless" nails. You remove the rug from the frame by "crocheting" it off.. each loop is drawn through the one before it.. then you stitch the last one to keep it from raveling out. Can't believe I remember that.. I was 9 and she was in her 90's when she taught me. She spent one day teaching me then said "now go home and dream about it and you'll remember how." Guess she was right.
