I love making rugs. All kinds of rugs.
I have done loom rugs, braided rugs, and the toothbrush rugs.
My favorite are toothbrush rugs. They are easy to take along.
I made a tooth brush rug each train trip we took from Iowa to Cal..

Nice. My husband made me something similar a few years ago. It's 6ft by 6ft and I make afghans on it, by weaving a crosshatch of yarn and then hand tieing each intersection. Always thought of using it for making a rug.
But it is taking up too much room (it stands upright and I was using it as a room divider, but no room since I got my quilting frame), so now I'm looking to give it away.
Any body near Grafton, WI want a free loom?

Nice, I love my frame like that. How do you keep it from pulling in on the sides? Mine also has a metal rod that is down each side so the rug stays straight all the way. Will be looking forward to seeing a finished picture . Make me want to get mine out again but to many irons in the fire right now.

Judith Ann ME to I love making rugs. ANd I must also say the toothbrush rugs are one of my faves.
I do the rushing rugs and crocheted rugs.
As for the frame to make it not look like an hour glass my frame has metal rods that go down each side to keep it straight.
