    That is beautiful and what a good friend she has in you. Doing this moment of grief, she can just wrap the quilt around her and know that you are there even when you are not.

    I also gave a quilt to a family when the Father passed on instead of flowers. I cross stitched a heartfelt message on the back on the quilt. The quilt that I presented to them was hand pieced and hand quilted by me. I wanted to give them something very special to keep and pass down through the years because he was like a second Father to me. Tears did flow when I gave them the quilt.......

    Love the prints with yellow and black. Actually, with any black in it. Very striking. So sorry for your friends loss.

    I love it. I just love Loralie fabric. I have so much of it but, just can't make myself cut it.
    Now I'm headed to my sewing room to start cutting & sewing. You inspired me.
