Default "Lost in the woods" Carpenters Star

I made this for some friends who will soon be getting married. They are decorating their home in a lodge look, anything to do with hunting, fishing, etc. This is a perfect match. For my own enjoyment of the process I chose the Carpenter Star so I could cut up the deer fabric. Lol! It shows up enough that it's deer but not a great big piece/panel. They loved it. I only have a DSM and quilted it myself. In each corner I put outdoorsy things- a campfire with a skillet of (deer) steak, a tent, a stag jumping and this deer posted. I was happy with how they turned out. In other squares I did the flowers, so there'd be something girly on it.

What a clever way to handle the deer print fabric. I love your quilting designs, very well done with only a DSM.

What a special quilt. You really personalized it and your label is an extra bonus that will be more wonderful as years go by. Thanks for sharing and showing us what can be done with just a DSM.

Already been said but I will add....the use of deer material and the star are great.
