    That is simply beautiful!!! At age 75, my dh is building a 14' fiberglass steeple for our church. It will have 2 stained glass pieces in it that measures 18" x 24". The interior of the steeple will be lighted. The reason I am telling you this is after seeing your Dove, I am inspired to try to do a quilt piece using the Dove my dh did in stained glass as my pattern. Do you think this is doable?

    You should be able to make it the same way as the pattern on Nancy Zieman's site. That pattern makes the dove in four sections (body, two wings, and tail). I think it would look smashing if you did the outlines of the applique and background with couching or bobbin quilting using Razzle Dazzle.
