Here's the picture from the magazine showing the whole quilt.

***moderator's note: pictures from magazines are copyright protected, so i had to delete it. let's all encourage her to show us the front of hers, too. :-) ***

And here's my try at quilting it on my little old machine! No long-arm or FM for me! Kind of busy, but a great learning and practice thing shown on back for clarity. Must get to finishing it soon! Thanks for the interest!

Your quilt is beautiful. I love the color combination. I also love the block in your avatar. What is the name of this block?

Thanks, I've even done a king size and am doing a queen size! No problem with my old machine's 8" throat! Oldie, but goodie. Don't even know when it was made but the manual is yellowed!

LOVE IT! Did you use bicycle clips - how do you control the bulk?

My mom always said the back should look as pretty as the front. Hers did, mine don't!!

Thanks all! Stitchinwitch, I started out trying to organize the excess fabric with clips, bike clips, rolling it, etc. I gave up on all that because I hop from one place to another, sew short seams SID or change direction often so I just "puddle" it up so I have a square foot or so to work on. So much easier and less time consuming!

Having a large table to the left and one to the back also helps a lot!

Love it--especially the binding that really makes it pop!.. Did you do any FMQ or is it mostly stitch in the ditch and straight sewing?
