    Lucky Stars Completed

A few months ago I posted a picture of two star blocks, the start of this quilt. It is a Fons and Porter design called "Lucky Stars" and uses freeform cutting rather than templates. I quilted each block separately and attached them using a "quilt as you go" method. The quilt will be donated to the annual quilt auction at the Bible Camp in my home community, and I hope someone young at heart will enjoy it!

I think it turned out great and I can see where the free form cutting would give it some added interest. The colors are great with the black.
Being skinny isn't easy, so I gave up and opted for being sexy instead. (aunty acid)

I remember Fons and Porter doing something like this but I don't remember it being this sharp. It might be your fabric choices that make it so sharp.

    Deb,
Fons and Porter did it in Halloween/fall colors. Those were nice too!

What a great reminder! I had the corner turned over on that pattern for doing at a later date. Your version has me wanting to go find the pattern again. I like your colours and QAYG really works for that quilt.

That is beautiful! I remember seeing the original pattern and thinking it was nice, but you have really elevated it to something much more than that.
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.
