I always look froward to seeing your quilts, gcathie!! This one just keeps that thought going strong. :D My vote is no border--it would hold the stars in and they need to be free. :D

This is so pretty! Love the colors. I would add a border the same size as your sashings just because inside all the stars are seperated by 2 and on the out side there is just one. Adding a final row at the outside would make it 2 and consistant. But that is just MHO. Love it, Love it!

I think I would go with one border the same size as the sashing and made like the sashing.

I really love it. I don't think borders are needed unless you need to make the quilt larger...

When I look at it, I see all your pretty stars and then two borders all around them. I think one last border just the size and style of the sashing would finish out those outer blocks and really make them pop. :)

Hmm--now that it's been brought to my attention, I do vote for one more row of sashings to make it match--not really a border, technically; the stars will still be free to float.

Thanks everyone...I think the second border does sound fab....

JANW....this is pretty easy cause the points are floating and there is no cutting them off...

When I looked at your beautiful quilt I thought "not really a border, just another row of scrappy sashing would be great". Then I read through the other posts and see that I am not alone in my thoughts.

Another gorgeous quilt, Cathie! You turn out such beautiful quilts. Your sewing machine must hum 24/7!!
