I just finished this machine embroidered baby quilt for a friend's new GGS. It's backed with flannel, batting is poly, embroidery on white Kona Cotton with cut-away stabelizer. I left the stabelizer under the whole blocks (I didn't cut it away) and quilted over it. I washed the finished quilt and was pleased to find that the stabelizer made the white blocks more opaque and gave them more body. ;-)

What great truck designs! Wherever did you find them?

Any particular place or did you just collect them over time?

I love the blue work; it makes it very distinctively masculine.

Love the quilt!!

Question for you, how did you quilt the blocks?? I have one done like this but have not quilted it yet. Not sure if a person would go over the embroidery on the blocks or shadow the design. I also left the interfacing on for the same reason you discovered.

I have no idea where I got the designs. I have so many (old and new) and they could really use some organization.

I just shadowed the design and quilted a frame line near the edge of the white.
